The Beginner Group Violin program is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of playing the violin in a supportive and engaging group setting.

ADULT CLASS (ages 16+)

The Adult Campfire Group Guitar Class is designed specifically for adults aged 16 and above who are beginners in playing the guitar.
There is no previous experience necessary. This interactive class offers a supportive group setting where participants can learn fundamental guitar skills while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow music enthusiasts.

The Vocal Intensive is an immersive group program specifically designed for adult singers who are passionate about refining their vocal skills. Group Beginner Violin

The Beginner Group Violin program is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of playing the violin in a supportive and engaging group setting.
This class is ideal for students age 5-9yrs who have little to no prior experience with the violin and want to develop a strong foundation in playing this beautiful instrument.
Through a combination of interactive lessons, demonstrations, and practice sessions, students will learn the essential techniques, music theory, and ensemble skills necessary to start their musical journey on the violin.
Class Objectives include but are not limited to:
  • Instrument Familiarity: Students will become familiar with the parts of the violin, including the bow, strings, pegs, fingerboard, and chinrest. They will learn how to properly hold the instrument, how to care for it, and how to tune it.
  • Foundational Technique: Students will learn and practice basic violin techniques such as proper bowing technique, finger placement, posture, and bow control. They will develop skills in producing a clear and consistent sound, playing scales, and performing simple melodies.
  • Music Reading and Theory: Students will be introduced to music notation and learn how to read basic sheet music. They will understand fundamental musical concepts such as rhythm, tempo, dynamics, and articulation, and apply them to their violin playing.
  • Ensemble Skills: Students will have opportunities to play in a group setting, allowing them to develop important ensemble skills such as listening, following a conductor or leader, and playing in synchronization with others. They will experience the joy of making music together as they perform simple ensemble pieces.
  • Repertoire: Students will have opportunities to play in a group setting, allowing them to develop important ensemble skills such as listening, following a conductor or leader, and playing in synchronization with others.   • Performance Opportunities: Throughout the class and in the semester-end recital, students will have opportunities to showcase their progress through informal in-class performances. This will help build their confidence and performance skills, allowing them to share their musical achievements with their peers and families.

Class Structure: The Group Violin Class will meet for a weekly group class for a duration of one hour. The class is led by an experienced violin instructor who will guide students through the various lesson components, provide individual and group feedback, and offer assignments for practice at home. The class may also incorporate interactive exercises, games, and listening activities to enhance the learning experience and keep students engaged.

Prerequisites: No prior experience with the violin is required. This class is open to absolute beginners of all ages who have a strong interest in learning to play the violin.

By the end of the Beginner Group Violin Class, students will have developed a solid foundation in violin playing, enabling them to confidently progress forward. They will have acquired essential skills, knowledge, and a passion for music that will serve as a springboard for their ongoing musical journey.

Whether you aspire to strum your favorite songs around the campfire or embark on a fulfilling musical journey, this class is tailored to meet your needs.
Class Objectives include (but are not limited to):
  • Instrument Introduction: Participants will become confident with the parts of their guitar, including the body, neck, strings, frets, and tuning pegs. They will learn proper guitar holding and tuning techniques, as well as basic maintenance.
  • Foundational Technique: Students will learn and practice foundational guitar techniques, including hand positioning, fingerpicking, strumming patterns, chord formations, and basic scales. Emphasis will be placed on developing rhythm and coordination for ease of playing.
  • Music Theory and Reading and Chord Recognition: Participants will be introduced to music theory concepts relevant to the guitar, such as chord progressions, scales, and basic music notation. They will learn how to read chord charts and tablature, enabling them to play a wide range of songs.
  • Repertoire and Song Accompaniment: Students will explore popular campfire songs, folk tunes, and acoustic classics. They will learn to play and accompany themselves or others, focusing on chord transitions, rhythm variations, and song interpretation.
  • Group Playing and Ensemble Skills: Where so much of the fun happens! The class will foster a supportive and collaborative environment, providing opportunities for participants to play together as a group. Students will develop essential ensemble skills, including listening, blending, and playing in sync with others.
  • Performance Opportunities: Throughout the class and in the semester-end recital, participants will have the chance to showcase their progress through informal in-class performances and jam sessions. These opportunities will build confidence, stage presence, and a sense of accomplishment.
Class Structure: The Adult Campfire Group Guitar Class meets once a week for one hour. Led by an experienced guitar instructor, the class combines structured lessons, group activities, and practice sessions. Interactive exercises, games, and challenges will be incorporated to make learning enjoyable and engaging.
Prerequisites: No prior experience with the guitar is necessary. This class is specifically designed for adult beginners aged 16 and above who are enthusiastic about learning guitar in a group setting. Participants should bring their own instrument to each class.
By the end of the Adult Campfire Group Guitar Class, participants will have developed a solid foundation in guitar playing, enabling them to confidently strum and accompany songs. They will have gained essential skills, knowledge, and the camaraderie of fellow guitar enthusiasts, making their musical journey both rewarding and enjoyable.

  • Vocal Technique Refinement: Participants will focus on refining vocal techniques, including breath control, vocal resonance, articulation, range expansion, and vocal agility. Emphasis will be placed on developing a strong and healthy vocal foundation.
  • Interpretation and Expression: Students will explore techniques for interpreting and expressing the emotional content of songs. They will learn how to connect with lyrics, convey authentic emotions, and develop their own unique artistic style.
  • Music Theory and Ear Training: Participants will deepen their understanding of music theory concepts, including scales, intervals, and harmony. Ear training exercises will sharpen their ability to recognize and reproduce musical pitches and intervals.
  • Performance Skills: Students will develop stage presence, microphone technique, and audience engagement skills. They will have opportunities to perform solo and in group settings, honing their confidence and artistry on stage.
  • Vocal Health and Care: Participants will learn essential vocal health practices, including warm-up and cool-down routines, vocal hygiene, and techniques for maintaining vocal stamina. They will gain insights into maintaining long-term vocal well-being.
  • Collaborative Musicianship: The program will foster a collaborative environment, providing opportunities for participants to work with other musicians and explore the art of vocal ensemble singing. Students will develop skills in harmony blending, synchronization, and musical collaboration.
Class Structure: The Vocal Intensive meets for a weekly for a one hour session. Led by an experienced vocal instructor, each class incorporates vocal exercises, technical drills, repertoire study, group performances, and individual coaching. Interactive activities and performance opportunities enhance the learning experience and create a supportive community of passionate singers.
Prerequisites: No prior experience with singing is required. This class is open to all levels who have a strong interest in expanding their skills and technique in singing.
