

HOME PRACTICE
Private instrumental instruction program requires home practice both for the student to progress and for their motivation and enjoyment. Preparation and attention to daily assignments is necessary and expected when registered in private lessons.
Tuition fees
Private Instruction Students:
Submission of annual tuition fees for the remainder of each school year are required at the time of registration. Monthly instalments can be set up through the studio's PAP (pre-authorized payment) system to create an instalment plan, in which case a $35 registration non-refundable fee/student is applied.
Crescendo Kids Students:
Class and supply fees for the semester enrolled in are due at the time of registration.
Withdrawals are accepted up to 7 days of the semester start date, with fees returned less registration fee. Withdrawal requests up to 7 days after the semester start date will be accepted with 50% tuition refunded. No cancellations are accepted after 7 days of the semester start date.
Referral Program
*Applicable to Private Instruction Students Only*
We are thankful for the ongoing support and referrals from our current students and believe in building a community of like-minded families.
Current students who refer a new family to the studio will receive a 50% reduction for one month's private lesson tuition fees (30 minute weekly lesson length, standard instructor).
Guidelines:
- Referring families are applicable only if name is entered in the referal section of the new registration form at the time of registration.
- Referring families will be determined by who was entered in the "Referred by" section of a new family's initial registration form.
- Referral credit will be issued one (1) per new family joining the private instruction programs.
- Refer as many times as you would like! There is no limit to the number of referral months each family can receive.
Cancellation Policy
Private Instruction Students:
In the event that a student must withdraw during the school year, 4-weeks written notice submitted to the administrative office is required. Annual registration fees are non-refundable.
Students with any symptoms of illness are required to isolate for the safety of their classmates and teachers. If symptoms are present or students are unable to attend in-person, students may choose to have their lessons remotely through live online format, by giving 24 hours notice to the studio.
Crescendo Kids and Group Program Students:
Withdrawal with full refund (less $25 registration fee) is accepted up to 7 days before the semester start date. Partial refund less 50% tuition fees accepted up to seven days after the semester start date.
In the event that a class does not reach minimum size, students will be notified 7 days before semester start date and total fees will be returned.
Student Absences
Private Instruction Students:
If a student cancels or misses their class or private lesson, the instructor is not obliged to make up that lesson. The lesson time can be transferred to another family member with advanced notice. If the student has cancelled with reasonable notice the teacher may wish to arrange a makeup, pending availability of studio space and availability.

In the event of a teacher absence, lessons will be offered with an approved faculty substitute teacher.
Crescendo Kids Students:
If a student cancels or misses their class they are welcome to join another class of the same level at another point in the week if available by letting their instructor know.
Teacher Absences
Private Instruction Students:
Due to unforeseen circumstances or if an instructor is ill, all efforts to place a substitute instructor from the studio's approved substitute teacher list will be communicated in advance of the private lesson.
In the event that a suitable substitute instructor is not available, the instructor shall makeup any cancelled lessons no later than 2 weeks of the original booking and at a time that is convenient for all parties. No more than two rescheduled private lessons by the instructor will be incurred each school year.

Morin Music is committed to providing a safe and respectful learning environment for all individuals. We expect all members of our community to adhere to this policy and contribute to a positive and respectful atmosphere. All individuals must treat others with respect, including teachers, staff members, students, and visitors. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does not comply with this policy.
