Jiayi Li Wins Alberta Provincial Finals and Is Selected for Canada West Performing Arts Festival

We recently celebrated another outstanding season of performances from our students at the 2025 Calgary Performing Arts Festival. Our community at Morin Music Studio—a leading Calgary music school—has once again demonstrated the powerful combination of discipline, artistry, and mentorship in music education.
A Standout Season for Calgary Piano Lessons
This year’s festival season was filled with exceptional performances from our students, with many earning top placements in both solo and ensemble categories. Among these talented young musicians is Jiayi Li, a dedicated piano student of Dan Morin, whose success has continued beyond the city festival.
Following her strong performance at the Calgary Performing Arts Festival, Jiayi was selected to represent Calgary at the Alberta Provincial Finals, presented by the Alberta Music Festival Association.
Representing Alberta on the Western Canadian Stage
We are thrilled to share that Jiayi Li won 1st Prize at the Provincial Finals! She has now been selected and recommended to represent Alberta at the Canada West Performing Arts Festival, which brings together outstanding young performers from across Western Canada.
Jiayi originally competed in the 10-year-old category at the city and provincial levels, yet has been selected to represent Alberta at a higher age division. Jiayi has been invited to compete in the 13 years and under category, a level that reflects her advanced musical maturity and performance ability. This recognition speaks to the exceptional quality of her performance and her potential as a young artist.
